We lost a dear friend this week to a horrible disease. Cancer took Boyce away from us way too early. Boyce was a great ambassador for the outdoors, a loving family man, an extremely talented musician and teacher, and most importantly, a Godly Christian man. Boyce was our partner last year in the first Butler County Hunting and Fishing Expo, allowing local outdoor merchants and traders a place to showcase and sell their product. Boyce was a mountain of a man and he had a love for the outdoors and a love for Butler County and it's people that was as big as he was. He touched countless people in his music ministry with the Crossmen Quartet. Boyce's absence leaves a void in Butler and surrounding counties. Pray for his family in the days and months ahead. And praise God that he has taken his faithful and loving servant home to be in his comfort and presence.
Kids and new members are the future of our sport. Whenever you get the chance, take a child fishing, no matter how old they are. Help keep our sport alive. Even a day on a pond bank with a "snoopy pole" is something that could spark a passion for fishing in a youngster.
